At Clyde Iron, we take pride in our rich history and the role that our space had in shaping both industry and community around the US. Originally founded in 1889 as a steel fabrication plant, our building was once at the heart of American innovation, helping construct major infrastructure projects worldwide. Today, we’ve transformed this historic space into a one-of-a-kind gathering place where history meets hospitality. Whether you’re here for a celebration or a live event, we invite you to experience the energy, character, and craftsmanship that make Clyde Iron truly special.

Over the past several years, we’ve seen tremendous growth in our events business. Focusing on events instead of the restaurant allows us to invest more into the experiences our guests already love while creating a more sustainable future for Clyde.

The brewery will also transition away from regular public service as we focus on supporting private events. Our beverages will continue to be available during many of the events hosted at Clyde.
The hospitality industry has changed significantly in recent years. This transition allows us to focus on one of our strongest areas while ensuring the venue remains a vibrant part of the Duluth community for years to come.
Yes. Live music, entertainment, holiday events, and community gatherings remain an important part of Clyde’s future, and we’re looking forward to bringing even more memorable experiences to the venue.
We’re committed to supporting our team throughout this transition. Many employees will continue serving guests through our growing events business, and we’re working closely with staff as we move into this next chapter.
The character and history of Clyde Iron Works aren’t going anywhere. We’ll continue making improvements to enhance the guest experience while preserving the iconic space that so many people know and love.
